ATTR resulting in heart muscle disease, and manifested through symptoms that include shortness of breath, palpitations and abnormal heart rhythm, ankle swelling (edema), fainting, fatigue and chest pain (angina). Can also lead to heart failure.

Intellia is currently investigating NTLA-2001 as a treatment for people who have hereditary ATTR with polyneuropathy. In the future, Intellia’s goal is to address hereditary and wild-type ATTR, both polyneuropathy and cardiomyopathy, with a single course of treatment.
