Why Join Intellia?
Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases.
Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done.
We want all of our people to go beyond what is possible. We aren’t constrained by typical end rails, and we aren’t out to just “treat” people. We’re all in this for something more. We’re driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together.
How you will Achieve More with Intellia:
Be a part of a team that helps drive many of the projects that enable us to discover potentially life-saving drugs. The Automation, Engineering, Genomics, Informatics and Screening (AEGIS) plays a crucial rule in producing data needed to nominate Drug Candidates. In addition to the large scope and breadth of the tasks below, this is an opportunity to impact a growing organization by enabling the Scientists to focus on lab work instead of getting and maintaining the reagents needed to conduct experiments. AEGIS currently orders ~75 items that are not supported by the operations group, all of which have different functions and specifications that require experience in a vast number of areas.
Oversee and manage the consumables for 4 different lab groups within the (AEGIS) group.
Have experience working in a High Throughput Environment where if consumables are not readily available it can holt production.
Organization and ordering of ~75 different types of consumables, including but not limited to, plates, tubes, tips, media, enzymes, reagents, dyes etc.
Set up consumables so they are streamlined for a high throughput environment and ensuring all the various reagents are stored at appropriate conditions.
Manage ordering of custom products needed to run our high throughput automation. A lot of these have large lead times and manufacturing challenges that will need oversight and QC once they have arrived.
Create an ordering and tracking system that enables lab members to request materials quickly and easily when needed.
Create and QC specific media needed for a vast number of different scientific experiments.
Monitor/maintain lab supply and reagent inventory, ordering when stock is low or anticipate the logistics and work with vendor accordingly.
Work with procurement to help find new or scarce items in and out of catalogue.
Receive and put away consumable and reagent orders for others.
Run daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on a vast among of different lab equipment
Coordinate with vendors when instruments need repair
Assisting with general lab cleanliness and maintenance
Work with Triumvirate to make sure all reagents are being safely disposed and taken care of per the lab safety protocol.
We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years’ experience in laboratory management. Having experience with Hamiltons and Illumina sequencers is desirable. If you have strong communications skills (written and oral), coupled with exceptional time management skills, attention to detail, love to organize, and enjoy working as a part of a team, we encourage you to apply!
Meet your future team:
The Automation, Engineering, Genomics, Informatics, and Screening team is a fun, energetic, and passionate group of individuals, who are focused on pre-clinical NGS data support for IND or CTA packages. You will report directly to the Manager of NGS Production. This hiring manager oversees many of the essential support systems that enable Intellia to do great science. This includes compound management, a variety of NGS applications, and more. The hiring manager values teamwork and a positive attitude above everything else. There is nothing that cannot be accomplished when you know a team has your back.
