How you will Achieve More with Intellia: 

As the Director, FP&A, you will be the lead finance business partner for Technical Operations & Quality teams; helping them set the course for long-term planning and strategy to help advance our very exciting portfolio of in vivo and ex vivo programs.  In this role, you will perform detailed quantitative analysis for operational and strategic planning as we build out our clinical and commercial supply chain. You will partner with the Tech Ops and Quality Teams to translate activities and headcount projections into budgets and forecasts. You will report out the functional leadership budget vs. actual performance and work with the Team to understand the implications of any variances to the Business.  You will be in a key Leadership position to help advise and influence the organization as we continue to advance our clinical programs and bring them to commercialization.

Additional roles responsibilities include: 

  • Define, develop, and improve processes around the financial planning, tracking, and reporting of Technical Operations and Quality spend
  • Support the development of annual budgets and forecasts for Technical Operations and Quality
  • Lead the Long-Range planning process for manufacturing and quality
  • Create ad-hoc analytics to support make vs. buy decisions making clear the key levers within the analysis
  • Develop robust CoGS and cost analytics models for the Business
  • Design and develop an efficient process to track and report actual spend for multi-component activities
  • Update project-related consulting budgets and projections on a quarterly basis

You are a finance professional and a true team player who is passionate about science, and possesses excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Additional role requirements include: 

  • Significant finance experience directly supporting Technical Operations and Quality for a growing and fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to interact and gain buy-in at all levels of the business
  • Must have strong Excel skills and be proficient in PowerPoint
  • You have worked in the Biotech industry and have ideally been at a clinical-stage biotech transitioning to commercial
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, principles, practices, and procedures is a preferred
  • You ideally possess a bachelor’s or master’s in accounting or finance
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion and other ERP system is a plus

Meet your future team:

This role reports to the Vice President, FP&A. You will work directly with the other members of the close-knit Finance and Accounting team, and functional departments across the company. While a small team of 10, you will join a group of passionate individuals who enjoying working with one another. Under the CFO comprises of Financial Reporting and Internal Controls, Equity and Payroll, Procurement, IT, Program Management, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Facility Operations.

The team currently contains both hybrid and remote employees. While we don’t require you to be local to Cambridge MA office, if local we do offer flexibility to work from home. Although in a partially virtual environment, the FP&A team has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community among the group.
