How you will Achieve more with Intellia:
Intellia is searching for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our growing organization! In this role, you will collaborate within the Facilities Operations and EH&S department, including our outsourced partners, to execute and deliver on the EH&S program in a multi-building environment. You will chair the safety committee, perform routine lab inspections, and track corrective actions. Additional responsibilities include:
Maintain permits and licenses
Provide new hire and refresher trainings
Refine and keep current our EH&S SharePoint page
Assist with incident and accident investigation
Maintain OSHA 300 log and incident metrics
Periodic review and update/development of safety program and documentation
Provide hands-on EH&S support for lab safety through risk assessments and job safety analyses
About you:
Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, someone who likes to dig into and interpret regulations, and enjoy communicating clear and consistent EH&S messaging. If you are looking for a change from the bench but don’t want to stray too far from the science, then this could be the role for you! Additional role requirements include:
Ability to interact across all levels of the organization, developing relationships with internal stakeholders
Experience with engaging staff in training sessions
Creative problem-solving
Desire to roll up your sleeves to execute plans and deliver program documentation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Keep your training requirements such as DOT, RCRA, current
Meet your future team:
You will report directly to the Director, EH&S, in the Facilities, Operations, and EH&S department. The Facilities, Operations, and EH&S Department is a dedicated team of individuals that work cross-functionally and with our outsourced partners to support the needs of Intellia from space allocation to stocking lab shelves.
The team is currently working onsite. Therefore, we hope you are currently local to Cambridge MA, or open to relocating.
