How you will Achieve More with Intellia
In this newly created Equity and Payroll Specialist role, you will be responsible for supporting Equity and Payroll administration activities across our growing organization, including partnering with our HR, Finance, and Legal departments as well as our Stock Plan Brokers and Transfer Agent.
In addition to the below, your key responsibilities will include preparing and processing stock plan transactions in addition to supporting our semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll processing.
Perform accurate processing of all employee stock transactions and ensure that all are processed and settled timely and accurately, including grants, cancellations, stock options exercises, RSU releases, and ESPP enrollment and purchases via EEO
Partner with team members to prepare and process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls accurately and timely via Workday and ADP Workforce Now
Partner with internal Legal, HR, Finance, and other teams for all areas involving compensation and benefits to maintain and improve current processes and procedures relating to equity and payroll administration
Administer and maintain all equity and payroll procedures required to keep up to date with multi-states and jurisdiction regulatory compliance
Maintain opening and closing of the company’s trading window via E*Trade systems and process employees' trade approval, per insider trading policy and schedules
Perform monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliation including related journal entries, receivable of option proceeds, payroll liabilities, and perform auditing procedures to ensure accuracy
Provide excellent customer service to employees, management, and business partners
Provide support on equity and payroll education and provide training as needed
Collect and prepare data on stock plan activities and other data for internal and external reporting
Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed
About You
Proven experience with Equity and Payroll administration to deliver timely and accurate compensation for employees. Explore best-in-class compensation and benefits with an interest to disrupt the typical status quo through process improvements in collaboration with key stakeholders as we grow as one. Here are some of the other desired skills we will be looking for you to have:
A strong understanding of Stock Plan and Payroll Administration procedures and practices is required
Must have at least 5 plus years of experience in Stock Plan Administration, Equity Edge Online preferred
Must have 3 years of Payroll processing experience, ADP Workforce Now preferred
BS/BA or equivalent experience preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) preferred
Must have a strong understanding of wages and tax laws, including FLSA
In-depth and comprehensive understanding of equity administration concepts and related financial reporting principles
Experience with Internal Controls under Sarbanes-Oxley Act related to public companies
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and across all levels of the organization
Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, quantitative, and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion is a plus

This role will report directly to the Associate Director, Equity and Payroll Administration. The Equity and Payroll team is made up of two other individuals who bring a range of experience and knowledge. While a small team, you will join a group of passionate individuals who enjoying working with one another. In addition to the equity and payroll, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the larger group of people under the CFO, which is comprised of: Financial Reporting and Internal Controls, FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, IT, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Facility Operations.
The team is currently working virtually. While the team does plan to return into the Cambridge MA office, current plans slate a return to the office for September (tentatively). Although in a virtual environment, the group has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community among the team. This includes virtual happy hours, team all-hands, game nights, and more. You can expect to join a hardworking, collaborative environment.
