How you will Achieve more with Intellia:

Intellia is searching for a Facilities Technician/Engineer to join our growing organization! In this role, you will work within the operations department, including our outsourced partners and vendors, to execute and deliver in a service focused, multi-building environment. You will participate in responding to facilities issues in a 24/7 setting.  You will work in a cross-functional environment that supports all of operations including Shipping and Receiving, Lab support, EH&S, Office support, and Security.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with all departments to document and deliver safety policies

  • Support vendors onsite and develop relationships with them

  • Share the 24/7 response for facilities/lab issues

  • Interact with vendors to obtain scalable solutions for our customer base

  • Assist and/or lead troubleshooting building issues

  • Support EH&S with site wide inspections (safety showers, etc.)

  • Lead the way in PPE usage

  • Perform all tasks within OSHA guidelines

  • Conduct routine tours of the campus noting discrepancies for correction

  • Life long learner

About you:

Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, someone who likes to dig into and interpret regulations, and enjoys communicating clear and consistent EH&S messaging. If you are looking for a change from the bench but don’t want to stray too far from the science, then this could be the role for you! Additional role requirements include:

  • Ability to interact across all levels of the organization, developing relationships with internal stakeholders

  • Experience with engaging staff in training sessions

  • Creative problem-solving

  • Desire to roll up your sleeves to execute plans and deliver program documentation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Keep your training requirements such as DOT, RCRA, current

Meet your future team:

You will report directly to the Associate Director Core Facilities and Engineering, in the Facilities, Operations department. The Operations Department is a dedicated team of 8 individuals that work cross-functionally and within Intellia to ensure the best scalable solutions are provided to our organization.

The team is currently working on site, therefore, we hope you are currently local to Cambridge MA or that you are open to relocating.
