How you will Achieve More with Intellia:
As the Finance Intern, you will be responsible for partnering with various functions of the finance team including financial reporting, procurement, and general accounting and finance operations with the goal of learning about the different roles within the finance function. You will work on various projects including:
Gaining exposure to the quarterly SEC filing process and assist with preparation of various SEC-related documents
Assisting with the month & quarter close activities and reporting processes and other finance projects as deemed necessary
Learning about internal control compliance requirements in accordance with the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) Act.
Evaluating historical spend and pricing on requisitions compared to contracts and agreements to validate pricing, identify gaps or potential areas for improvement
Obtaining an understanding of the role of the procurement function and develop/create a procurement poster for presentation to the Company
What you will bring to the table:
This role is open to students enrolled in a Bachelors degree program, majoring in Finance or a related subject.
Meet your future team:
The Finance team is an intelligent, driven, and energetic group of individuals. You will report to both the Associate Director of Procurement and Director of Financial Reporting. Given the breath of work on this team, this intern will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of areas within the Finance function.
The team is currently working 100% remote. Therefore, we do not require the intern to be local to Cambridge MA. Although in a virtual environment, the Finance team has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community among the team. This includes virtual happy hours, team all-hands, open office hours, game nights, and more! You can expect to join a hardworking, collaborative environment.
