This is both a strategic and hands-on role for someone who is a strong problem-solver, has exceptional project leadership, strong cross-functional partnership skills, agility with detailed financial analysis and an innate continuous improvement mindset.
Assist in the design and implementation of compensation programs, policies and procedures that are compelling, competitive, and equitable.
Project partnership for the expansion of Workday compensation management functionality, including the implementation of the Advanced Compensation module in 2021
Key leader in the development and implementation of job leveling and career ladders within the organization.
Provide proactive change management and ongoing management of job catalog.
Manage survey participation and submission, monitor and evaluate benchmark data, trend information and economic projections related to similar jobs in comparable industries, recommending changes as appropriate to maintain a competitive market position and internal equity
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team to maintain a competitive market position and internal equity while making competitive offers to prospective new employees
Conduct robust and meaningful analysis for management to use in making decisions related to compensation programs.
Assist in the design and implementation of recognition programs for a growing biotechnology company
Train and mentor Human Resources team members on compensation practices and various tools and resources for assisting in compensation decisions
Facilitate compensation trainings and presentations for the company and HR Department throughout the year
Create compensation materials and tools for company and HR Department
6-8 years of compensation experience is required, (Biotech/Pharma experience is preferred)
Bachelor’s degree, with Finance, Accounting, Economics and/or Mathematics preferred
Compensation certifications are a plus
Prior experience using Workday HCM/Advanced Compensation is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and within the HR department
Successful track record of working with compensation surveys and building career ladders for growing organizations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, listening, planning, organizational, and project management skills
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to use Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, specifically)
