How You Will Achieve More With Intellia:

The position leads the security management function and practices at Intellia. The Senior Manager/Manager is directly responsible for managing the contracted 24/7 security staff and managing all security policies and procedures in a fast-paced environment and influencing stakeholders across the organization.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to managing the security staff and associated contract with Securitas and all security systems including both card access and camera systems. This position will also include managing aspects of both on-boarding and off-boarding employees, guest and visitor sign-in processes, and employee engagement. The role includes being a member of the Safety Committee and working cross-functionally with all functions within the Operations and EH&S Department as well as all R&D and G&A departments.

  • Leads the Security function and is responsible for organizational Security & Safety performance across all Intellia sites

  • Coaching and mentoring extended staff and manage individual contributors.

  • Manage all Security Management systems

  • Implementing and providing daily oversight of security programs and projects

  • Ensuring Security programs are written, reviewed, and updated as required

  • Providing Security when applicable for capital projects and site construction activities

  • Partnering with the Department Head on assessing and evaluating daily activities to ensure the identification of high risks and associated risk reduction corrective actions

  • Provide oversight for site incident investigations to ensure robust corrective actions are identified and corrective actions are implemented

  • Developing and implementing initiatives aimed at improving the performance of the security department and ensuring compliance with applicable external regulations

About You:

  • Bachelor of Science degree

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

  • Must have extensive knowledge of the Security Industry Union Handbook

  • Must have strong analytical and data-driven skill set

  • Must possess strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

  • Able to work independently as a problem solver and solution generator.

  • Able to influence across all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated effective cross-cultural and cross-functional skills

  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to build, lead and motivate a team

  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results and lead innovation and change

  • Respected company thought leader in their field

  • Strong track record of mentoring and developing leaders.
