How you will Achieve More with Intellia:
As a Procurement Manager you will be a key member of the Finance team at Intellia. In the role you will evaluate current Procurement processes with colleagues, buyers and suppliers and develop new strategies that are innovative, efficient, and cost effective. You will manage procurement-driven initiatives to select, on-board, consolidate, source and leverage research goods, services and equipment with suppliers and stakeholders as well as travel. You will also support, identify and implement continuous improvement strategies to automate and simplify the ordering process for the transactions of goods, research services and equipment. As a member of the procurement team you will articulate, and support established procurement guidelines, policies and processes for pro-active engagement and compliance on sourcing activities.
Primary responsibilities include:
Review, approve and process purchase requisitions to ensure that they meet requirements for proper documentation, currency and payment terms
Evaluate supplier contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and established organizational policies and procedures for vendor engagement
Assist in obtaining and analyzing proposals or quotations for consumables, equipment and services
Evaluate and test system enhancements and upgrades for new and existing company platforms with internal and external partners
Participate in system implementation, roll-out and user training of new platforms and tools
Develop and generate reports for purchasing activity by buyer, category, goods receipts and vendor spend
Monitor supplier performance via established KPIs and Supplier Relation Management (SRM) activities with stakeholders
Manage, coordinate and record departmental metrics and data measuring savings and cost avoidance.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Procurement experience including the Laboratory Capital Equipment, Consumables, Research and Operations Services IT and/or Travel Categories. Strong knowledge of Oracle procurement and financial software and tools
Well-developed negotiation and communication skills
The ability to develop productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

This individual will report to the Director of Procurement and join a team of intelligent, driven, and energetic of individuals. Given the breath of work on this team, this individual will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of functions within Procurement. They can expect to join a hardworking and collaborative group!
The team currently contains both hybrid and remote employees. For this role we need someone to be in the office 2-3 days/week. Although in a partially virtual environment, our team has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community among the group. You can expect to join a passionate, hardworking, and collaborative environment.
