Why Join Intellia?
Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases.
Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done.
We want all of our people to go beyond what is possible. We aren’t constrained by typical end rails, and we aren’t out to just “treat” people. We’re all in this for something more. We’re driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together.
How You Will Achieve More With Intellia:
Intellia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our team. Support manual and semi-automated formulation efforts including optimization and analytical characterization of lipid nanoparticles.
Develop and/or optimize analytical methods, process steps, and general workflows for improvement of current processes, and establish appropriate process documentation
Provide high-quality, well-characterized formulations for in vitro and in vivo evaluation
Conduct experiments, independently and in collaboration with colleagues in support of project goals. Establish related work plans and timelines
Design, implement, troubleshoot, and modify experiments to reach desired goals
Communicate research and development findings with internal and external partners
Operate and maintain multiple laboratory instruments
Assist operations by maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and the ordering and receiving of lab supplies
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with at least 4 years of industry experience; or M.S. in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with at least 2 years industry experience
Experience with nanoparticle formulations at scales sufficient for dosing of rodent and higher animal model species is a plus
Proficiency in day-to-day experimental planning and execution; able to generate experimental plans and communicate/track progress.
Ability to prepare research presentations and draw conclusions to inform project decisions
Experience in basic laboratory techniques and analytical methods required, such as: 1) Liquid handling/pipetting, centrifugation, weighing and basic chromatographic methods, 2) Quantitative UV/VIS and fluorescent assays (plate/cuvette-based), 3) Quantitative HPLC/UPLC applications
