How you will Achieve More with Intellia:
Intellia is searching for a Program Manager to effectively drive multiple ex vivo emerging pipeline projects, positioning them for success as they transition into early development. In this cross-functional leadership role, you will co-lead our ex vivo Emerging Pipeline (EVEP) program team, comprised of functional representatives from Research, Preclinical Development, and CMC with additional partnership with Business Development, Portfolio Strategy, Legal, and Commercial/New Product Planning. This leadership position provides frequent opportunities to interact with both R&D and Executive Leadership Teams. Other responsibilities include:
Serving as a strategic thought partner to the Program Team Lead (PTL), responsible for development and execution of EVEP strategy in line with corporate strategy and goals
Build high performing teams, establish, and promote positive team operating principles in line with Intellia’s company values; Ensure cross-functional and cross-program sharing of key learnings, and drive change management as applicable
Drive strategic & tactical program planning in partnership with Finance and Strategy/ Portfolio Management, to inform the long-range planning process, detailed investment planning, portfolio prioritization exercises, and BD discussions
Monitor program financials, ensuring resources are in place to support program goals, and escalate resource needs, where appropriate
Creation, management, and communication of Integrated Program Plans through partnerships with project leads
Scheduling meetings, creating and circulating agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking follow-up by team members on action items assigned to them, for Core team and sub-team meeting series; Flag discussions/upcoming governance issues to key stakeholders
Facilitate cross-functional communication, and, in partnership with the PTL, drive strategic and operational alignment with the program team, functional leads, and Executive Leadership Team
Facilitate strategic scenario planning discussions, develop risk/mitigation plans, and drive key program decisions through appropriate governance forums
Do you have a scientific background with cross-functional leadership experience in drug discovery and early development? Our ideal candidate will also have the ability to influence and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. More specifically, the ability to drive alignment with the program team and with senior/executive leadership is crucial. Other qualifications include:
Direct experience in program management/project leadership for discovery through early development
Demonstrated track record of detail-oriented follow-through
Knowledge of immunology, gene-editing/gene-therapy a plus
Ability to translate complex technical details into big picture thinking and action plans to drive programs forward
Demonstrated proficiency in program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project), and methodology. Willingness to constantly improve PM tools, implement best practices, and foster change management
