Why Join Intellia?

Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases.

Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done.

We want all of our people to go beyond what is possible. We aren’t constrained by typical end rails, and we aren’t out to just “treat” people. We’re all in this for something more. We’re driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together.

How You Will Achieve More With Intellia:

We are looking to hire a Senior Research Associate to join our Vector Engineering team. Additional role responsibilities include:

  • Conduct and troubleshoot molecular cloning experiments for medium to high throughput DNA vector construction

  • Perform a variety of molecular biology and cell biology laboratory experiments

  • Assist with the development of additional molecular biology tools for genome editing applications

  • Plan and execute experiments to design and validate novel AAV vectors for gene editing.

  • Interpret and communicate research findings with internal teams

  • Maintain a detailed electronic laboratory notebook

About You:

We are excited to welcome a hardworking, passionate individual to join our team. The ideal applicant will have hands-on experience with DNA cloning using a variety of molecular techniques, strong organizational skills, and experience handling multiple projects at the same time. Given the nature of the role, candidates with the following skills are encouraged to apply:

  • B.S. in Molecular/Cell biology, Genetics, Virology, Biochemistry, or related discipline

  • Experience with general molecular cloning techniques, including bacterial transformation, plasmid isolation and plasmid manipulation

  • Hands-on experience with basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, Microscopy).
