How you will achieve more at Intellia:

In this position, you will be reporting directly to the Accounting Manager and will work closely with all areas of the organization, as well as the company’s vendors and Intellia’s external independent audit firm. As an Accounts Payable Specialist with Intellia, you will be responsible for: accounts payable, corporate credit card program, time and expense reporting, 1099 reporting, and monthly AP close activities. You will also get the chance to participate in and provide support related activities for various projects and implementations.

Here is some more information about the exciting work that you will be doing:

  • Supporting full cycle accounts payable activities in a high-volume environment: entering, processing, and paying invoices.

  • Maintaining and managing the AP Inbox by importing all invoices into Oracle Fusion’s Imaging Center and responding to all vendor inquiries in a timely fashion.

  • Reconciliation of vendor statements, which includes researching and correct discrepancies where applicable.

  • Partnering with the Procurement team to add and maintain vendor records in the accounting system.

  • Maintaining accurate files and thorough documentation of your work.  

  • Monitoring corporate credit card expenditures, auditing expense reports, and creating invoices from those expense reports.

  • Preparing Intellia’s annual 1099 reports.

  • Assisting in month end closing by preparing AP accruals and the AP account reconciliation.

  • Identifying, tracking, and properly accounting for prepaid expenses.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable experience

  • Experience using an integrated accounting system (experience with Oracle Fusion strongly preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality

  • Effective communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Adaptable to changing priorities, high-volume and a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and part of a team

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, and all other Microsoft Office Applications, and Adobe
